Liedconcerts at the Finlandia Hall

Comic Opera Helsinki organises series of liedconcerts in Finlandia Hall with showcasing young talents. Every concert has it’s own theme and they are held every last Friday of the month. The liedserie has started with enthusiastic audience and critics.

The concerts are organised together with Suomen Liedakatemia ry. All photos by Viivi Myllylä.

Friday 24.2. 15.00h Finlandia-hall, Helsinki-auditorium. Theme was German composers.
Wonderful soprano Sanna Matinniemi has sung many years in Germany and won several competitions in International Sibelius singing competition and Timo Mustakallio singing competition 2015.

Liedconcert: Laura Pyrrö & Tiina Korhonen

Friday 26.5. 15.00h Finlandia-hall,  Helsinki auditorium.  For the celebration of Finland 100 years we end the liedconcertserie with the music of Finnish composers.
Soprano Laura Pyrrö has performed with several Finnish City orchestras and abroad.

In the concert there will be music from Jean Sibelius, Leevi Madetoja, Oskar Merikanto, Fredrik Pacius and Erkki Melartin.
